Diving flashlights are useful for you to be able to see at night underwater, it is a portable electric torch gives large lumens of light by bulb or leds. Apart from this, they too are your main means of communication for lighting places where the sun will not reach, such as crevices, overhangs, swim-throughs, and for people trained in overhead environments; caverns, wrecks and caves.

They come is different sizes, shapes and usages-small and large. diving flashlight is made by ABS housing and PC lens, they are durable and effectively keep the water outside, power supported by rechargeable batteries, one-charge batteries and even separate battery packs. A number of them have pistol grips or handles. Some diving flashlights can fit in the palm of your hand while others strap to your wirst. They are beneficial and useful especially below water of max depth 70 meters. Unlike traditional torch light, the most significant requirement of diving flashlights is that they should be both pressure proof, watertight and durable.

Importance of diving flashlight
Whether you’re wreck diving, cave diving or night diving, a diving light should be among the most significant pieces of your diving gear. During these activities, you’re going to require an excellent source of light to help you read your diving gauges, make known your position to your friends and find your way. Without effective or proper dining flashlight, when you’re in the vicinity of ascent line, it’s not going to be easy in gauging to make slow and controlled ascent when in dark waters.

Usage of Diving Flashlight
When you are inspecting your gear as you prepare for diving, ensure you include your diving flashlight. Open it and inspect the user-serviceable O-rings, normally located around battery compartment cap, and may be the bulb compartment. These should be free of nicks or cuts and debris.

Work the lock and switch to confirm it freely moves. Insert fully charged rechargeable batteries or alkaline one to make sure you have a strong beam throughout your dive. Test your diving flashlight to ensure you have the batteries in their correct direction, and the bulb is perfect. Then attach a strap or a lanyard to fasten the light to your gear or wrist so it will not be lost when you drop it.

During the dive, you should avoid dragging your light along sandy bottom, or banging the device on hard substrate. Even when you have it strapped to the wrist with lanyard, you should carry it in one hand so as to prevent it from swinging free.

Each and every piece of the equipment requires diligent maintenance and care to reliably operate for a long period. soak and rinse it in fresh water immediately after diving. With it in fresh water, work its switches to dislodge the trapped particles. You then dry the device out of the sun. Do not open it until it’s dry completely, and you’re certain no water may splash inside. Then store it with your other diving equipment.
